SCOURGE OF WAR NAPOLEONIC MOD

Postby [N]Bloody Bill » Sun Aug 19, 2012 8:10 am

Hey gents, thought I would share this wonderful game with you. If you like the American Civil War than SoW Gettysburg is a pretty amazing game for its command interface. There is now a Napoleonic mod for the game. It is only single player for now but hopefully will be mp. Here are some in-game pics...enjoy!

I don't know much about Scourge of War, but the screenshots certainly look good. I'm going to have to learn more about it.

Before you insult a man, walk a mile in his shoes. That way, when you insult him, you'll be a mile away.
And you'll have his shoes.

I bought scourge of war and tried the napoleonic mod. It is awesome, unfortunately Darth Norb is not allowing a MP version of the mod.
What a shame.

SoW base Civil War game:

2nd Day of Gettysburg, Peach Orchard, Devils Den, Plumb Run and the Round Tops.
I commanded Barksdales Brigade in this scenario. My Brigade took the Orchard and captured four Union Guns. After my taking of the Orchard I had 3 exghausted Regiments and 1 that was tired leaving my Brigade out of action to resupply ammo and rest for the next attack. Here are some pics of the slaughter.

My Brigade with info on the left showing my losses.

Devils Den

Confederates capture the Round Tops, at great loss. On other side of the hill Union troops massing for a counter attack that would have pushed the Confederates off the hill.

Hope you like the pics gents, this is a very fun game imo.

Barksdale was a stud and his brigade was of exceptional quality (Mississippi boys). Many of the South's brigades could manhandle a Union Division.

In the Napoleonic Mod is the effective range of the infantry formations reduced by 70-80%? If not did they changed the map to movement to time scale to reflect the difference?

Yes Barksdale was a good General with excellent troops.

The musket range of the Napoleonic mod is shorter than the Civil War game.
