Alpha 2 testing

Postby [N]Avon Ulysses » Fri Dec 14, 2012 6:08 pm

I was hoping for more comment from [N] members on testing forums.
I am very interested to hear the opinions of our experienced or newer players, as all here know their stuff.
As it is NBC is having more say as to what they like than we are.

Perhaps we can try some test games on the weekend.
I will try to be on TS from Friday to Sunday from around 10:00pm est.

Too many people and too many opinions litter the forum landscape with an uncontrolled deluge of information. Especially annoying are those who dissagree with everything and add nothing to the process. [N] has always been the Lordz playtesting workhorse. In the past [N] was larger and more active and yet became fatigued and burned out on the testing process. I believe in a different approach to playtesting, something like this:

An offical Lordz playtest group will be formed.
Membership applications are available to anyone willing to commit to active involvement and approved by the Lordz.
Internal group organization to accomodate leadership, schedualling and feedback.
Access to new versions and patches will be restricted to group members only.
A private forum will be created for group members only.
Retricted TeamSpeak channels will be available for group members only.
Members who become unable or fail to contribute appropriatly will be removed from the group.

The rewards for playtesters would be exclusive membership, documented credits, and an influence on the mod itself. Anyone who is not willing to contribute should have no say.

Excellent idea. It is important to accumulate a respectable count of MP games, otherwise the feedback from testers will remain of relative value. Hope for an European time playtest sub-group to be formed as well.
