"The Last Army" A Farewell to the Campaigns

Postby [N]Fullin » Mon Jan 18, 2016 5:33 pm

Napoleón is beaten!!!

Paris is in chaos. France in the verge of collapse…

But there is one last hope for the Empire.

Napoleon on his return from Elba, trying to force his best Marshal into obscurity appointed him to defend Paris, a role that he thought would never need to be fulfilled.
Now Davout is the last hope of the collapsing Empire.
After the defeat at Soignes and Mons, Davout started scraping troops together from all the scattered armies garrisoning the borders of the Empire. With the hope of assembling a solid seasoned army. This Frenchmen, driven by the military genius of the Iron Marshal and with the memory of foreign occupation still fresh, this force is eager to fight once more.
Davout, instructed Soult, Napoleons chief of staff, to work round the clock to muster “the last army” a formidable force to march to the aid of the Emperor. He manages to assemble the remnants of the shattered Armee du Nord and invigorated it with every man at his disposal from every corp around the Empire.
Its is August 1815 and now 95,000 Frenchmen march north to aid their still beloved Emperor, small forces remain in Italy and the Vendee, an even smaller one in the German border to delay the Russians and Austrians….its the final act, a final ruse, that holds the fate of the Empire.

The Last Army Campaign

Due to popular demand we will not run the Campaign anymore.

This Last battle is a farewell to the project , that although unsuccesfull was a great fun.
My Thanks to the few participants and we will see you all at 5.1.

Fullin, Kester, and anyone else who contributed to this project, great work on the campaign module and on the concept indeed!!! Thank you for your time and effort!!! Gutted it ends this way ... I just hope some of the stuff we've seen in battle module will make it into the mod (stats and maps with new objective's type).

I'll be honored to march into this last battle and will join any side.

Well, I will say I enjoyed playing battles on the campaign module far more than any classic game.

I assume that it would be inappropriate to release the "Campaign" regimental mod to the public? Imagine this mod played freely with all the maps included. How wonderful if this regimental style version was a choice in the v5.2 set up.
